Post Malone recently caused concern among fans after videos surfaced of him appearing to struggle on stage during a recent concert. In the video, taken by an unknown audience member, Post Malone was falling over, rolling on the stage, and struggling to remain standing while he performed the song “I Fall Apart.”

Junior Alyssa Mobilio is a big fan of Post Malone, and has seen him in concert before. “I know a lot of people jumped to the conclusion that he was addicted to drugs and alcohol and that he is in a ‘bad place’ right now,” said Mobilio.

Across social media platforms, fans expressed their worries for the artist. The hashtag #prayforpost was trending during the first week of March.

“This breaks my heart so much,” said one Twitter user with the handle @nxncy_hdz. The sentiment accompanied a post of the video that shows Malone’s performance.

Malone is currently in the second leg of his Runaway Tour, which followed the release of his most recent album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding.” The tour began in September 2019, and the second leg began on February 4, 2020.

While social media posts are evident of many concerned fans, others believed Post Malone to be fine. Junior Alex Caruso is among those who are not worried about the artist.

“I saw that performance on twitter and I honestly didn’t find it very alarming,” said Caruso. “Post Malone is a great performer and I just assumed he was just very into one of his saddest songs in my opinion.”

At a show on March 6, the Grammy-nominated singer addressed the rumors about his well-being circulating on the internet.

“I’m not on drugs, and I feel the best I’ve ever f— felt in my life,” said Post Malone during a break between songs at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.

“That’s why I can bust my ass for these shows and f— fall on the floor and do all that fun s—,” said Malone, regarding his behavior at recent concerts.

“For anybody that’s concerned here, I appreciate the love and support, but I feel f— fantastic,” said Malone.

Some fans are still skeptical even after Malone’s statement. Given the history of drug and alcohol addiction in the music industry, fans are concerned Malone may not be okay going forward.

“It think as a fan I would believe his words when he says that he is okay and hope the people that he surrounds himself with watch out for him,” Mobilio said. “It is a scary thing to see because we have lost so many talented people to drug overdoses, like Mac Miller for example. I hope that Post Malone continues to make amazing music and takes care of himself like he should.”

Malone has continued performing on his Runaway tour, though several of his upcoming concerts have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Malone’s Runaway Tour is part of a group of events cancelled by entertainment companies including Live Nation and AEG. According to the Associated Press, the companies have suspended all tours until at least the end of March as a preventative measure.
