The End for “Game of Thrones” is Near

On January 14, HBO announced that the final season of the hit series “Game of Thrones” will premiere on Apr. 14.

The highly anticipated show has had fans waiting for the last season to air for nearly two years since the newest episodes hit television screens across the globe in 2017.

Anyone that watches the series knows about the thrilling, unexpected twists the show brings throughout every episode. And if you haven’t watched the series yet, stop reading this right now and go binge it before April because it is one of the greatest television shows of all time.

With the new season approaching fast, there are several questions to be asked about the final episodes of the series. Who will die and survive in the end? As the show tends to kill off the most beloved characters.

Will the army of the undead defeat the living? Will Jon Snow find out about his true identity? But the ultimate question still remains… who will end up on the Iron Throne?

We still have to wait three months to find out the fate of all the characters, but for now here are some of my top predictions of where all the pieces will fall in the show’s concluding season.

The White Walkers will come for Winterfell where the long-awaited battle verse the living will occur. Tormund and Beric escaped the fall of Eastwatch and make it to Winterfell for the biggest fight the show has ever had.

Jaime arrives in time to fight reuniting with Brienne, who dies in combat. I think that Jorah Mormont will also die fighting to protect his Khalessi, Daenerys.

I believe that the battle will also take the lives of Grey Worm, Podrick, Tormund, Davos, and Sansa. In the mix of the intensifying fight with the undead, Melisandre will arrive with an army from Volantis to help defeat the Night King, but then die under the hands of Arya.

Bran will survive and become the Three-eyed Raven. I believe he does have a strong connection to the Night King and played a role in altering Westeros history through his time travel in past episodes.

Jon Snow will once again save the day with killing the Night King, thus wiping out the White Walkers completely. Unfortunately, I do think that his life will come to an end in the process. I don’t think that the creators would have the army of the undead win the war, but then again it is Game of Thrones.

So, what happens next after the Great War is done? The battle of the Two Queens happens.

Those who survived will march for Kings Landing where Cersei sits upon her precious throne alongside Euron, The Mountain and the Golden Company. And this is when shit gets real.

Theon will die in attempts to save his sister Yara while successfully killing Euron.

At this point, I believe the bitter rivalry between the Clegane brothers will take place. But I do not think fans will get the desired ending they want with one killing the other. Arya will be the one to kill the Mountain, crossing the biggest name off her infamous list.

This then leads me to Cersei’s fate. She will be killed (ah, sweet justice) by Arya who uses Jaime’s face in doing so. Tyrion survives, because how could they kill off a wine loving imp?

If Samwell Tarly dies, people would lose their minds. I believe that he will live as a Maester in the Citadel along with Gilly and little Sam.

As for the master of whisperers, Varys, he will also die in Kings Landing. As for who lives? Chances look pretty high for Gendry, Bronn and Missandei.

The biggest question of them all – who will end up on the Iron Throne? The series creators could take many different angles. I think it will not be Daenerys as she might die giving birth to her and Jon Snow’s child.

My ultimate divination as to who will be crowned is Tyrion Lannister.

Now these are all my own predictions, and they could be extremely off and incorrect. Many viewers have their own thoughts on how the show will end as there are endless possibilities.

If it is any indication of what the actors of the show say it is, we are all in for a real treat. The countdown continues for the epic sagas conclusion to air. Winter is here.
