Hi everybody!
I hope that it has been a safe and healthy start to the fall semester for you all. Given everything that has transpired over the past six months, I can speak for everyone within Spectrum Newspaper when I say how thrilled I am to have been back on campus over the past three weeks.
It’s worth reiterating that everyone at Spectrum Newspaper supports each and every protocol of the Sacred Heart University Coronavirus Task Force, and we appreciate the efforts of everyone at the university and in the community to ensure our safety throughout the semester.
Next Wednesday, Sept. 23 is our first issue of the school year. While it is a bit later than usual, we have plenty of good topics covered, ranging from how students are feeling on campus with all the protocols on place, all the way to how sports are continuing amid a pandemic.
At Spectrum Newspaper, our goal and hope is to have every issue available in both print and online. However, things can change in the blink of an eye, possibly forcing us to move online from issue to issue. Nevertheless, it will not take away from the content and stories we will provide throughout the school year.
I can’t wait for everyone to see what the paper has to offer for this year! I am certainly excited to begin what should be a strong semester for the paper.
Stay safe, follow the protocols the university has set, and support journalism!
